Back To Work

Last Monday I officially completed radiation treatments. I'd been diligently applying the miracle burn cream that cured my motorcycle injury a few years ago. But healing is slow when you take Avastin, which I still do. I have seven more Avastin treatments, three weeks apart. Avastin inhibits blood vessel growth, keeping wild cancer cells from reproducing. It does the same thing to healthy cells, so healing of any kind is a challenge. I finally resorted to using Blake's mom's aloe vera plant (nothing to lose!) Aloe vera did the trick! I'm almost healed now, with only a couple of tiny scabs and some peeling left. It's such a relief! I've had some sort of healing issue going on since Nov. 18 when I had surgery. Friday I start back to work at Kindergarten. I have just four more days to reclaim my own cluttered house and to get my attitude on about my current state of health. I can barely believe that so much time has passed doing nothing. Well....I guess it's not really "nothing" when I think of all that has happened with my parents. Little miracles continue to bless us, as we have been approached by a buyer for their newly remodeled house. Dad saw the house on Saturday. He seemed pleased with the improvements. The house has a nice, calm, clean feeling now. It just isn't "home" anymore. I'm trying not to be sad about that.

If change is healthy, you must be in great health! Sometimes I like change, sometimes I don't. I guess it depends on the change. I'll be thinking about you on Friday.

There is constant change in the world today....it can be good if looked at in a positive way. I wondered how I would feel when Alan's mom moved from their Amalga house.....like you said when you get the "stuff" out of it it isn't home anymore. I am glad that you can get the house off of your check list. Your moment of arrival is coming closer as you get to love those students of yours!

We love you mom! Good luck going back to school this week. Thanks again for spending so much time with our little bear with all of the craziness going on with getting ready for school. We ask too much! Caroline says...I love you gramma!
