Those In Need
I got a "those in need" visit from my Relief Society Presidency tonight. It is so weird to be on the receiving side of one of those special visits. I think, like so many other things, I took them for granted when I was the visitor. I don't think I ever realized how much a visit from those who serve might mean to someone suffering. Now I'm suffering somehow, and they came. I looked around my living room and realized that it was filled with women that I dearly love, not just for the fact that they give up their time and energy to serve our ward, but because they are true friends to me. We've shared so many experiences over the years. I had history with every one! Their presence in my home spoke of sacrifice and support on so many levels and it was unexpectedly meaningful. I'm going to remember this for the future--how serving AND being served is a precious privilege. I wanted to cry, just to see their sweet faces. I miss our ward. I miss being ordinary and going to church and associating with our friends. It's a sort of sick-prison I'm in. Now, I've eaten two more delicious, pretty cookies than I needed today, but I really liked knowing they were baked with me in mind. It's humbling to be cared for in the way of our neighborhood . It was the warmest, fuzziest gift of kindness possible from four women that I dearly love. Thank you for taking time for me, good friends!

It is the "little things" once again that make our lives just a little better. And we will never know who or how we influence people until you are on the other end or told by that individual! It is such a blessing to have leaders who are friends as well and are inspired to fulfill their callings! It is nice to hear that you can do some of those "everyday" type things again!
