I got lucky and ended up with a real summer, in spite of my new contract to teach a C/D split. When school ended July 2nd, I ran to Michigan to visit Jamilyn in the few days before professional development meetings started for the new year. The consequence for that decision was that I missed baby Samuel's blessing day. No doubt, he was and will be blessed, in spite of his grandma's itch to ditch!

We had a lot of fun, traveling for seven days, visiting Andrea's childhood stomp at Grandpa Shearer's cabin in Wisconsin . We also spent a short time exploring Adam's mission field in Palmayra, New York.
Jamilyn was a trooper, driving five hours to meet us in Kirtland, Ohio for an overnight stay and some church history touring. It was great to have her with us!

Caroline was in her glory, exploring, running, eating, loving all the attention and adventure her little body could hold!
Adam and Andrea live less than one hour from historic Boston, Mass. We took a day trip there and (horrors!) forgot the stroller! Caroline was obcessed with the red brick line that marked the "Freedom Trail". She wore herself out climbing, chasing birds and hiding behind old headstones. Boston was just bustin' with interesting sites--we could have stayed a week.
We also got up to Maine for an evening. We tried lobster! Next time, we'll pass :0p
Moving was a lot of work! The new Beckstrom apartment turned out so cute. Their commu
nity, Concord, New Hampshire, looks like a wonderful place to live. Caroline is tired, but happy. We look forward to many more visits over the next three years. Our new best friend--Skype!
BTW Jamam...what I didn't know how to do in posting this horribly unprofessional layout could fill a BOOK!

Thanks again and again for all of your help. We were so blessed to have you on the great adventure of moving out to NH!! Can't wait to have you come and actually have a couch to sit in and the cleaning already done :)
It was such a gift for me to be able to come and help. I was really struggling with you all moving away! After seeing your home, the college and your friends, I felt much less stressed. You made me feel so useful--I loved every moment! Hugs to all.
