My fever today was impressive enough in height and history to warrant an unscheduled exam by a real Medical Assistant. I finally qualified for antibiotics, along with some codine cough syrup sure to upset the tummy. But it will be worth it. My chemotherapy was approved and I lost weight too! It was like my birthday, only better. I got to snuggle under three hot blankets with extra pillows with the actual sunlight pouring through the picture windows of the deserted chemotherapy room at John and Karen Huntsman Cancer Center. I had four specialty nurses all to myself. Someone brought cool grape juice and hot packs and a sign to wave if I needed additional service. After three heavy duty cough drops, I relaxed into a near-sleep state the likes of which has not been achieved since last Friday's visit to Spa Huntsman. In spite of a two-stick IV, it was 90 minutes of heaven at the end of a very long day...When an appointment for chemo feels like a restful beach vacation, somehow the "new normal" has gone berzerk.

I have heard that place is pretty sweet! I hate that you have to have a cancer pass to enjoy it. I hope you get feeling better in every way possible!
LOL...mom you make me laugh. I am glad that you got to enjoy a pampered chemo visit at the Huntsman Spa. Just like Elder Uchtdorf said in this months home teaching message...look for the positive. Love you!
You do beat all, Lady.
Which Hunstman Center were you at?

I understand life at the Huntsman Center is quite the experience. Glad you were able to have a bit of of luxury yourself!
We were very impressed with the Huntsman Center and how they treat their patients. It's great to see you still have a sense of humor and a positive attitude through all your trials. You are amazing.
