Picture Postcard Perfect

Pretty New Hampshire in winter is like a picture postcard! Blake and I left early Christmas morning to spend the rest of our holiday there with Adam and his family. The highlight of our visit was meeting precious Olive Mary, our sixth grandchild. It was love at first sight! We celebrate our Andrea for delivering another perfect little girl. We love you! Second-time dad Adam pulled off an excellent GPA in law school, despite the happy distraction of newly-arrived baby Olive. Caroline's Christmas was everything princess--she was in her glory with a beautiful dress, shoes, pajamas and blanket. Adam and Andrea cooked for us. It was like eating in a restaurant every time. We celebrated Andrea's birthday, making the traditional Winegar Birthday Cake. Yum! Hope we remember THAT recipe! We took outings to eat Maine Lobster, tour the Law Center and see Princess and the Frog. The final flourish was sledding on a blanket of fresh New Hampshire snow. All Caroline could say was "Clouds! Clouds!" Olive survived a well-attended bath while we were there, but mostly she enjoyed being the much adored Beautiful Baby Burrito--star of the day. We took an evening trip to Sharon, Vermont to see the lights and nativity scenes at the Birthplace of Joseph Smith. We were able to visit Blake's cousin's son Nate and his family for yummy banana bread and hot chocolate. Back at home, we found lots of time to just sit and be cozy with our little girls. That's the part we loved best. Thank you A2+2 Family for a relaxing, memorable Christmas Holiday. We love you all!

Hooray! Thanks for coming to visit us all the way across the country. We are glad that you were able to meet Olive while she was still "fresh from heaven." We love you and hope to see you out here again sometime, but hopefully we will see you at your house first :)
